I’ve spent a lot of time as the storyteller to prospects and customers at the front end of the sales process, increasing sales and profits, and strengthening relationships. Here are some brief paragraphs highlighting my experience in writing and presenting the message, sales skills, and business.

PROSPECT educator

At ADA-ES, we were trying to capitalize on the new Mercury and Air Toxics Standards rule from the EPA. In addition to my sales role, I was the copywriter and editor for an SME, and we put together a logical and well thought out presentation that spoke to all audiences. This and other messages helped us to develop a 28 project, $52MM sales funnel for the southeast.

Direct Mail campaigner

At Telliant, I developed their new direct mail process and wrote the content. Attractive subject lines, clear keyword content light on hyperlinks, and concise formatting increased the click-through rate to 8% of all message recipients. That’s a lot of warm leads.

project storyteller

Guiding construction projects for Primrose Schools was, in many ways, a sales and marketing role. With a regular dose of required public speaking in front of Planning Commissions and City Councils, I was the face of the far-off company and the carrier of its story. The success of these presentations led to the completion of projects which added 10% annual revenue increases for Primrose.

spreading the word on the farm

Understanding the reasons customers buy and presenting the reassuring message is a key skill of mine. It’s led to tremendous success in maintaining relationships and growing sales and profits in consumable products for industries. An average sales increase of 18% year-on-year is a decent number, don’t you think?
